Some Statements of Truth

    One truth that calls to our heart can serve for contemplative meditation over a long time, til it brings that sudden insight, til it becomes bone of our bone. (The principles are summed up in the last chapter, and many other apt quotes and rewordings are scattered through this book.)

    God.

    Who am I?

    Thou art That.

    The place whereon I stand is holy ground.

    Here am I.

    Speak Lord; for Thy servant heareth.

    Whither shall I flee from Thy presence?

    I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

    I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

    Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

    I have loved thee with an everlasting love.

    This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

    The Earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.

    Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.

    Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

    Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee.

    It is our Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom.

    Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.

    I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

    I am the bread of life.

    My body is the temple of the living God.

    Whither thou goest, I will go.

    Be still, and know that I am God.

    In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. In returning and rest shall ye be saved.

    The subtle sound in the silence, the voice of profound stillness.

    Peace, be still.

    He hangeth the Earth upon nothing.

    God is no respecter of persons.

    Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee.

    He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

    My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

    Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    There is no god but God.

    Thy grace is sufficient for me.

    In Thy presence is fulness of joy.

    I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

    The Buddha Body is omnipresent.

    I was a hidden treasure and I desired to be known.

    This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

    I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight.

    The Middle Path.

    Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

    All things work together for good.

    You’ve turned my mourning into dancing.

    I must be about my Father’s business.

    I can of mine own self do nothing....The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

    He performeth the thing that is appointed for me.

    God in the midst of us is mighty.

    Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them.

    No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.

    Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord.

    There shall in no wise enter any thing that defileth or maketh a lie.

    Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

    No one is ever lost.

    With the Breath of Compassion, I honor every mission.

    It is I; be not afraid.

    God is love.

    Not my will, but Thine, be done.

    Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

    Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.

    I am that I Am....I will be what I would be.

    I am God and you are God. What does it mean that we are God?

    Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them....and pray for them....

    I and my Father are one....though my Father is greater than I.

    Lord, I believe; help Thou mine unbelief.

    To know God aright is life eternal.

    We shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more....and God shall wipe all tears from our eyes.

    Sacred relationship in Oneness. An ever greater love.

    This world is the growing edge of God.

    God is already Being. I am already Being.

    Before they call, I will answer.

    I am always complete, while never completed.

    This is a spiritual universe.
