WHO WE ARE: Serena Newby As an Elder with the Institute, Serena finds that her experiences in living and teaching in different countries serve her in bridging cultural differences. For many years, Serena was a director on the European board of a world wide spiritual and educational organization where she developed extensive organizational and personnel management skills. Serena has a deep interest in healing energy work, which she has taught and practiced in many countries. Serena now lives in Ashland and continues her lifelong lessons of disintegration, transition and the rebirth of self. She is a passionate believer in the need for wise elders in our world and currently co-leads a workshop entitled “ElderPresence - A retreat to explore fulfillment in the second half of life.” |
