Fractals are complex shapes based upon repeating patterns of other shapes.
These other, or inner, shapes are often quite simple, but when linked repeatedly in a patterned manner they generate a complex outer form.
In the above Java applet a simple 'v' shape is repeated again and again, and seems this seems to form a figure that appears a bit like a tree or bush.
Play with the slider controls. Do minor adjustments at first.
If your picture starts to go out of the drawing area, you can adjust the starting point of the drawing to the bottom, middle, or top. Press 'Redraw' after changing this starting drawing position.
