Equations for Accelerated Motion

Anyone studying introductory kinematics will certainly see the three motion equations discussed here. The meanings, orgins, and applications of the fundamental motion equations are explained in this section. These equations include displacement and velocity as a function of time, and a time independent equation.

Conic Sections

Here is a new section on conic sections, no pun intended. Conic sections are intersections between a plane and a mathematical cone. They are the common parabola, hyperbola, and ellipse, along with some other common geometric shapes. This new area of Zona Land illustrates how a plane and a cone intersect to form these shapes. There are lots of VRML animations; so, if you enjoy 3-D, this may be to your liking.
